Solar regulator, also named as solar charge and discharge controller, is an automatic control device used in solar energy systems to control the charging of batteries by solar panels and the power supply of batteries to the load of solar inverters. It regulates and controls the charging and discharging conditions of the battery, and controls the power output of the solar panel and battery to the load according to the power demand of the load. It is the core control part of the entire solar energy supply system.
Solar panel belongs to photovoltaic equipment (mainly composed of semiconductor materials), which generates current through photoelectric effect after being irradiated by light. Due to the properties and limitations of materials and light, the current generated by them is also a curve with volatility. If the generated current is directly charged into the battery or directly supplied to the load, it is easy to cause damage to the battery and load, which seriously reduces their life.
